Daniel Vnukowski was joined by the Concertmaster of the Oakville Symphony Youth Orchestra, Dania Gonzalez. Dania is a flourishing young violinist and pianist and is an 11th grade student at White Oaks Secondary School.
The two spoke about Dania’s journey so far as a young musician and we were delighted by her charming presence on our airwaves. We wish her all the best for her future in music and beyond!
Sunday March 24th, 3pm, Dania and the Oakville Youth Orchestra will be performing at the Oakville Arts Centre in collaboration with the Royal Conservatory’s Oscar Peterson Orchestra. Dania spoke of her joy to be performing alongside the Oscar Peterson Orchestra, as this ensemble is dedicated to serving young musicians from underprivileged and underrepresented communities. This collaboration is made possible by the work of their joint Conductor, Colin Clarke.
Notable music selections include: Bernstein’s Candide, Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, Gardel’s Por Una Cabeza and more!
