New Orford String Quartet

The New Orford String Quartet joined us live in our Concert Lobby on February 6, 2012.

The New Orford String Quartet consists of former and current principal players of the Montreal and Toronto Symphony Orchestras. They have been praised for both their skill and their tone and referred to as “sweet, balanced and technically unassailable” (The Montreal Gazette).

They are currently on a ‘mini-tour’ of Ontario with a performance on Wednesday, February 8 for the Toronto Summer Music Festival’s Music in Winter benefit concert at Walter Hall. They will be at the Richard Bradshaw Amphitheatre on February 9 at 12:00pm to perform Darkness and Light: Schubert’s Final Quartet as part of the COC’s Free Concert Series.
