My Mom is Best - Winner #3

My mum is the best, because "I said so". I wake up everyday because my mum exists. I go to school and I try my hardest to get 90s on essays, because of my mum. She is the most honest and constant presence in life, which is the basis for my own. She sings the songs I write, and though she doesn't always get the lyrics perfect it's enough to let me know. That she thinks about me and that she acknowledges my own achievements rather than glorifying her own is amazing. My mum is a teacher and spends her day with other people's children, and I'm never jealous, because she always spends time with me every night. Some people don't have that with their mothers. They cannot joke with their moms, and would never dare to humiliate themselves in front of their mothers.

About two months ago, my grandma Audrey broke her leg and her foot in numerous places. She was still able to live in her apartment, but she's in a wheelchair. Everyday after work, my mum goes over to help her. She makes her dinner, changes the sheets on her bed, cleans the kitchen, does the laundry, feeds her prissy Siamese Chloe... My mum takes care of a lot of people. She watches and teaches children for the majority of the day, then helps my grandma, and then comes home and cooks dinner for her family. No one has asked her to do it. She just does.

My mum also puts up with my older sister who is (as proclaimed by my younger sister and I) the "bad" child. And she really is.

My mom is an awesome mom, and a deserving mom.

I think that my mom is the best, because she is a giving human being.
