Tarragon theatre begins their 2012/13 season with David Young’s adaptation of the great Canadian novel No Great Mischief. Written by Alistair MacLeod in 1999, the novel follows the relationship between two brothers who are “haunted by the stories and songs of their Scottish ancestry…”. Playwright David Young describes it as a story “…where atmosphere becomes plot.”
Jean Stilwell and Mike Duncan spoke to Young about this most recent staging of his adaptation. Young’s adaptation originally premiered at Tarragon Theatre in 2004.
