"The Last Taboo"
An Exhibition Curated by Moses Znaimer
Oct 31 - Nov 1, 9am – 5pm
At the ZoomerShow - www.zoomershow.ca.

In December of 1962, the founder of another iconic magazine embarked on a monthly series of essays known as The Playboy Philosophy. Whatever their flaws, Hugh Hefner’s pieces had an historic ambition: to break what he considered the last taboo of his day, sex.

Starting with the October 2009 issue of his ZOOMER Magazine, Moses Znaimer will propose his Zoomer Philosophy, which will tackle what he considers today’s last taboo: aging.

“Aging is sex for the new millennium, the topic we don’t discuss openly, the thing that happens to other people, behind closed doors. In deference to this last taboo, people of age have been denied their right to sensuality, to adventure, to any unconventionality that can’t be fondly smiled at by a condescending universe. In a way, they have become an invisible demographic,” said Moses.

With his “Zoomer Philosophy”, Moses hopes to move “Boomers with Zip” into the visible spectrum again; to boldly go where no “old fart” has gone before.

Accordingly, Moses Znaimer is inviting artists from coast to coast to reflect on this intriguing phenomenon of World Aging and the near possibility of radical life extension through drawing, painting, mixed media, photography, printmaking, computer supported work, sculpture and any other pertinent medium of expression.
